Pest Awareness Training
Envirocare carry out in-house pest awareness training for our food and related industry customers. Such training is becoming more important as more and more food retailers expect personnel on food manufacturing sites to have been trained in pest control. Specifically Tesco require the person responsible for the management of the pest control contract to have been trained in pest control, such training can be provided by the pest control provider.
Pest awareness training can also aid in keeping your site pest free. The content of the course provides insight into the major pest species and is adapted to the specific site risks. Therefore when providing the course to a bakery, more detailed information is provided on stored product insects than for a fish processing factory. Conditions conducive to discouraging pest infestation are detailed with emphasis given to good hygiene and proofing practices.
The course is aimed at people responsible for the pest control contract and members of the hygiene team, but can also be useful for production and engineering personnel. Groups between 3 and 10 people can be catered for and the course is concluded by an examination of the course contents. Certificates are awarded to those who pass the examination.
