Of particular concern, currently, is the spread of West Nile virus carried by certain species of mosquitoes.







Cockroaches are probably the most successful insects in the world. They can tolerate many adverse environments and in some cases can be particularly difficult to remove. These pests are particularly dangerous when it comes to the spread of disease. They walk through all sorts of filth and then transmit any pathogens collected onto food surfaces and otherwise sterile areas.

Their breeding rate is prolific and their presence in commercial premises is particularly concerning as customers seeing these insects will be highly unlikely to return.






Rodent infestation is by far the most common type of pest occurrence in buildings. Their habits are disgusting and their presence can lead to damage, disease and potential prosecution in commercial premises. Contravention of the various legislation that exists can lead to loss of goodwill and on some cases closure of the offending business. Mice can leave up to 80 droppings a day and their urine is passed wherever they move.They can cause damage to foodstuffs and property.

Rats are obviously bigger creatures but they only produce around 40 droppings per day. The usine situation, however, remains the same as mice.Bigger teeth can mean more spectacular damage. Rats can chew through materials such as aluminium, breeze block, some types of brick and all types of timber.
